My intention in creating each piece in a collection is usually centered around a concept. While the collection will have a very uniform feeling, each product will be slightly different as an homage to the authentic nature of inspiration. Each piece is designed, sculpted, trimmed, glazed, fired, and handled by me in the Kokora studio in Northern California. My process is heart led and I hope that translates through to you when incorporating Kokora pottery in your daily life.
My Unfiltered series was inspired by the beauty in the raw edges of all things. Those moments in life that are fragile, delicate, and perfect in their imperfection. There is a feminine harmony happening in this collection that is balanced by the ruggedness of the unrefined.
